Meet Jacob
I grew up in the Twin Cities and spent nearly my whole life there, but heading north has always been part of my story. Family vacations to Park Rapids were a tradition, and time at my uncle’s cabin outside Backus helped shape my love of the outdoors.
After getting married in February 2025, my wife and I moved north with our two dogs and made a cabin on a lake our home. We wanted to slow down, spend more time together, and feel more connected to nature. These days, you’ll often find us out on the boat, exploring a trail, gardening, fishing, or working on our latest home project.
The idea for Cabin Care Crew took shape during my year managing Swanson’s Bait & Tackle. I met cabin owners making day trips from the Cities just to handle something at their property—a small task that could take a whole day out of an already busy week. I saw an opportunity to help give that time back.
After nearly two decades in restaurants and four years in wine sales, taking care of people comes naturally to me. I listen, pay attention to the details, and try to anticipate what might be needed next. I care about people and what matters to them.
That’s the approach I bring to Cabin Care Crew: someone nearby who knows you, cares about your cabin, and follows through—so you can spend more time enjoying the place you love.
